I really like the flexibility offered at Studio Équilibre through the various locations and the many options available for Pilates Reformer classes. And I love Tika’s mind-over-body philosophy and emphasis on body awareness, breathing, and control over speed.
This studio is nothing but exceptional! Started a couple months ago and it's the first time that I feel like going to get a work out in thanks to their classes and awesome instructors. Special shout out to Dahlia - most amazing instructor with such charisma and expertise that I can't seem to match with any other instructor I've worked with. She's amazing and I keep learning so much from her! Looking forward to many more session ;)
I have always loved this studio. I used to teach there a few years ago and it was a wonderful environment to be working at and take classes from other instructors. I highly recommend it! Not only is it a convenient location and an incredible space with big windows and wooden floor, the quality of instruction for all classes is top notch! All teachers there have years of experience and will make you feel welcome and help you align your mind and body and achieve your fitness goals. You'll be in good hands no matter what type of fitness or dance class you sign up for. Plus classes are usually bilingual, français and english which is great for both communities. Enjoy one of the best studios in Montreal!
I have been doing pilates for 15 years in studios across the world and this one is up there with the best. The staff are friendly, the classes interesting and challenging, the equipment is good quality and the studio itself is bright and sunny and a lovely place to sweat out an hour.
I have been practicing Pilates for several years. I feel that I did not really know Pilates until I finally found Studio Équilibre (Studio Balance) about two years ago. The instructors are excellent who respect the Pilates philosophy and are attentive to all the details, without which one cannot truly benefit from the exercise. I am happy that my lifestyle has improved thanks to them.
Awesome place for mat Pilates, Pilates reformer, Barre Fitness and other classes. Great teachers and friendly staff; like a big family! The classes are small (maximum 8 for Pilates reformer and about 12 for the other classes) and the studio is homey and they offer tea and cold water. I go to the St-Laurent studio and either drive there (easy pay parking on the streets right in front of the studio or you can drive a couple of blocks and hunt for free parking) or take the metro to St-Laurent station and walk up.
Great studio, clean place, good instructors and reasonably priced given that pilates classes can be quite expensive. Makes it more affordable, but you have to reserve in advance for the popular after 5 pm classes.
I've been going to this studio for over 2 years, and I highly recommend it! As someone who has never been athletic or physically strong and who has grappled with chronic pain for years, the teachers here have really helped me to strengthen my body and improve my posture! Thanks especially to Patricia and Lola!
