Amazing space. I've done events and dance workshops in this space. Very versatile, specially their 123 space. It feels like a art space more than a cold dance studio with mirrors and is easily accessible.
This has got to be the best “house” music, open space studio there is. Distortions got the moves I tell you. They do!
Distorsion studio was a bit hard for me to find BUT I loved it and the facilities are amazing there!
I've taken a few dance classes here. I'm currently taking a burlesque jazz dance class (with heels) on Wednesdays(6:30pm) and Saturdays(1pm). There is a small waiting area with sofas. Coat racks in the classroom to hang your coats. My dance room has large windows that face St-Catherine St and we can see the Universel. You can often spot a curious passerby looking up at us dancing. My favorite part of the dance room is that you can turn on these blue and red lights and it gives you a cool vibe.
It's a really nice dance studio, but the organisation isn't so good. A couple of times I struggled with lock codes and keys to open the railings for a good 15 minutes just to get in because employees aren't there all the time (never when I go actually, which is weekend afternoons).
Nice owner who let us use the studio for free one night and hooked us up with the WiFi no questions asked. This place supports dance and hip hop! Much respect
Very nice size, not too big, not too small. A lot of stairs to climb and parking not the best (maybe because the snow plows were there to remove snow). I would go back and I would recommend.
Always a great place for a dance class or social, very close to the metro
