been a member at MAA for one year now and i love it! so much to offer, very clean, the members and staff are always kind. the equipment is state of the art, it's never too busy and classes are lots of fun too. MAA really pushed me to level up my fitness in 2025 :)
Excellent gym with really great facilities and a very well maintained pool! I have been training with Yuki for the past few weeks and she is an excellent trainer, very knowledgable and supportive. The workouts are always fun, and she has really helped me reach my fitness goals!! I highly recommend her and this gym to anyone living downtown.
I’ve been to MAA for a year and cancelled my membership. Pros: 1. huge fancy gym with several floors. I had access to the gym, the pool, the sauna, the cross-fit area, the classes(box, spinning classes…) 2. Not so many people during the weekend or after 8pm - I got sometimes the pool for myself. Cons: 1. Very very expensive (over 250$ a month for me) + extra if you want to use some lockers or use the massage chairs…ect 2. The attitude from the staff (reception or membership staff). Kind of condescending attitude. Not taking any feedback. 3. Some of the members seem to be entitled with a superior feeling/attitude 4. Very small area for the free lockers. To have more space I needed to pay extra to rent a locker 5. Limited hours during the weekend (closed at 7pm) 6. Men’s showers not always clean. At 6pm when it’s full of people, those showers are awfully dirty.
I've been going for a few months and it is honestly an amazing space. It's a great value for the amount of classes it has, the gym space, pool, everything. I hope it doesn't get TOO crowded as time goes, a lot of classes are already at capacity (not that it's bad in itself, but I imagine it can become trickier for people to be able to book one). The staff and instructors have been great, shout out to Chloe (or was it Claire? I'm so sorry, I'm terrible with names) who showed me around and convinced me to enroll, and also the best instructors I got to meet so far - Sofia, Nathalie, Laura, Jean-Charles, Caroline, Vahe, and I've still got many classes I haven't been able to attend
I’ve been training with Yuki Zhou and I honestly couldn’t be happier with my experience. She is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and attentive to detail. You can really tell she has a strong academic background in athletic therapy. She understands body mechanics, injury prevention, and proper form at a very high level. She’s also very encouraging, patient, and supportive pushing you just enough to grow while still respecting your limits. I feel stronger, more confident, and more aware of my body since starting with her. If you’re looking for a trainer who combines education, professionalism, and genuine care, I highly recommend Yuki.
Great gym and really solid facilities. That said, I’ve had a few consistently rude interactions with the same front desk staff. Not everyone there is like that and some are very nice, but those repeated encounters make walking in feel uncomfortable and negative and start the workout off on the wrong foot; especially for the price you pay to attend this gym.
A paradise in Montreal, this club has it all. I can spend hours with all it has to offer. Great group classes, amazing swimming pool ad jacuzzi, just to name a few! Francis, Elizabeth, Mary Catherine provide great service and attention, Olivia & Daisy at reception always give a great welcome. 🥰
I believe it's the best Finess club in Montreal at the moment, I see some people wine about $200 a month, but it's a premium gym and that's what it costs. The pool is fantastic, all the equipment is new, there are great classes to chose from and the restaurant 1881 is very good, the best for a Health club that ever been to. Staff is very friendly once their familiar with you. If you go to B.cycle 10 times a month the price is the same or more but all they offer is spinning. MAA has so much more, I wouldn't go anywhere else.
