Akasha is my favorite place to connect, and practice yoga. All the teachers are kind, compassionate. Julie welcomes me with a genuine smile. The teachers remember my name, and the place is clean, welcoming. Ask them anything, and they will do their best to make you as comfortable as possible.

I had an incredible experience at Akasha Yoga with the Vinyasa Épicée class led by Amanda. Her energy, guidance, and thoughtful sequencing made the session both challenging and deeply rewarding. The flow was dynamic yet grounding, pushing me to explore my limits while staying connected to my breath. Amanda’s attention to detail, from alignment cues to her encouraging words, truly elevated the practice. The studio itself had such a calming and welcoming atmosphere, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. I left feeling strong, refreshed, and completely rejuvenated. I can’t wait to return!

Akasha Yoga is the best spot for prenatal yoga! The space is so peaceful and grounding, and Alexe (the teacher) is honestly the kindest soul. 💕 She makes you feel supported, safe, and super connected to your body and baby. If you’re pregnant go try it. Total game changer! 🌿✨

Homey and clean yoga studio 5minutes away from Lionel Groulx metro station. The yin yoga class was very soothing and relaxing and beginner friendly. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well.

I attend Amanda’s class and I love it. She’s an amazing instructor that structures her classes in a very unique way. She’s such a fun and kind person. The spicy vinyasa class is quite challenging at times but focuses a lot on mobility which I find rare in a lot of classes. The studio itself is quite nice, there’s no lockers (belongings are left at the back of the class) but there are changing rooms, a shower and a relaxing area to drink tea/chat. It is nowhere near my house but I will keep coming back for the quality of the class, which is unmatched!

Amazing studio. Very calm and relaxing environment. Tea was sooo good. The instructor was knowledgeable. The facilities were very clean. Mat rental available and informed consent cards during practice so if you are not comfortable with being adjusted by touch you can feel safe. Very close the Atwater market, a great place to walk around and cool down after a session!

I attended a class at Akasha tonight. It was not a good experience. The first thing that hit me upon entering the building, before even going up the stairs, is the heat and bad smell! It’s 11° outside so I was initially confused that they didn’t have the windows open. I mentioned the smell to one of the people at the reception, who explained that many had already complained and that they would do something about it soon. A class had just ended, and mine was starting. The room, which still smelled despite the windows being open, quickly became packed beyond what should be acceptable. People were not respecting the marks on the floor that indicate where they should lay their yoga mats, they were just finding any empty spot. This included a guy next to me. He was so close I couldn’t stretch my arms and felt very uncomfortable the entire time as he was coughing and breathing heavily. During the class the room started smelling bad again despite the windows being open. The teacher herself was fine. She walked around the room giving instructions and correcting those who had the consent card laid out (a great idea). But the overall experience was sub par!

Brandon was amazing! He was kind enough to accept me at the last minute and led the class smoothly. It was one of the best classes I’ve taken so far. Such a great teacher! I would love to come back.
